Grow a Pair People Before It's Too Late!!!!

Hello Bloggers! This wonderful editorial cartoon from The Independent in London sums up my feelings about our Democratic leaders right now, and their lack of cojones when it comes to health care and the other reforms we elected them to tackle. To be blunt, I'm growing tired of the bi-partisan boob jobs. What a bunch of tards!

My Open Rant to Democratic Leaders

I know it's a tough fight against a tough enemy, but unless we see more competence, offense and strategy, we're going to start to think you guys are bought-and-paid-for just like the Republicans. We're beginning to wonder what's up people. What the hell is wrong with you?

I know many of my readers will disagree or think I'm too harsh, but come on, why do you seem to get blown away in the media by the lies and distortions of the right-wing so easily? Why can't you fight fire with fire? Why can't you fight harder? Nobody's going to blame you for it.

I think it's pretty obvious you allow yourselves to be chased, kicked around, and spat on. You guys almost seem like idiots, or worse, masochists.

Why do they always seem to win when it comes to swaying public opinion? Any good answers? Why are you so bad at getting our message out? The Republicans have a horrible record, so why can't you talk about it more? Repeat it! Beat it to death if you have to! Repetition can be a good thing.

"Civilized" responses to Republican shit-slinging is pathetic. Sling it back for God's sake. Get angry! Get passionate! Tell the truth about them! Stop acting like a bunch of gutless wimps! Demand to get on FOX "News" and FIGHT BACK against the LIES!!

Oh yea, and what about your latest offers to give up everything important, such as the public option? What kind of negotiation skills are those? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING? You seem almost incompetent, ready to give away the store. Why?

President Obama, Pelosi and Reid better have a good plan, because right now you all seem like a bunch of rank amateurs. It's hard to tell what the hell you're thinking!

Btw, the only improvement to that cartoon might be to put Harry Reid on top of the donkey, since he seems to be encouraging all the running these days. He's our biggest pussy of all. I'm beginning to think he's a Republican spy.

It's true the Republicans and their propaganda machine are large and scary, but where's the damn leadership we voted for? Grow a pair you bunch of overly sensitive political hacks! Get out there and fight fire with fire! Get nasty if you have to!

Once again, many readers will think I'm too harsh, but I'm tired of losing. I say counter their lies and deceit with our own "spin" about their motives and intentions. Tell the truth about their horrible records! Talk about their horrible history!

DO SOMETHING!!! Get the freaking job done! Stop running away and stand up for what is right! Republican assholes are laughing at us for God's sake!

We gave you our money, time, energy and votes! I know you're each a little different in some ways, but FIND SOME COMMON GROUND - to lower costs - AND BEAT THOSE LYING CHEATING BASTARDS OR GET THE HELL OUT OF WASHINGTON!

Tuesday's Political Rant - Michael

PS - I hope I'm wrong and that President Obama and the leadership know what they're doing, but I'm afraid that may be too much to hope for. Unless we see some improvement, hope is a luxury I can't afford right now.

I, for one, very much agree, Michael. You are not harsh at all. My thoughts exactly.

Thanks Elizabeth - it's good to know I'm not alone. :)

Boh you are not hard to figure out, you are a left wing smuck that thinks every thing has to go your way and your way is the only way, the truth is you are no better than the right wingers that you are always talking about, get rid of the left and right wingers and just maybe we would have a decent country again....If I was in charge all of you guys would be in the slammer or deported to some remote island.

Wow GR, that was pretty funny. You've got a sense of humor, even if you don't mean to. :) Anyway, don't worry dude, you are more right-wing than you know. I'm sure the Heritage Foundation, the NRA and others would kill to have you as a member.

I'm also pretty sure you'll get your chance to deport us soon as after your right-wing nut job friends take over and throw out the Constitution - again. Guantanamo Bay here I come!

I think you are being too kind to our alleged leaders. As far as I'm concerned it is time to put them all on notice. If they won't lead, we will find leaders who will.

If you'd written this a couple of weeks ago I'd have considered it harsh, but in view of what's gone on in the meantime, I can agree with everything you've written today.

In Obama's own word (many months ago) "ENOUGH!"

Great blog by the way, Michael - I found it only recently.

Michael I felt the same way yesterday but after watching my shows last night (Keith and Rachel) I felt alot better. I think Obama is listening and will have the public option in the finished bill. It's 80% finished and we just need to hang in there! But I do believe we feel this betrayal and have this feeling our democrat leaders are friggin pussys each and every time they have the power! I remember these frustrating moments all too well from the past! Come ON OBAMA and TEAM!!!!! GIT ER DONE!!!!!

Michael not a bad rant, thought you could have been harder on Reid, oh my god he is pathetic, a sheep in sheep's clothing if ever there was one. The republicans are hitting Obama with the same lies, day after day, they are dictating the pace of the argument, grab their script off them and tear it up, go after them like a pack of wild dingos. Take control of the discussion. Look forward to more rants.

God that is what I love about politics everyone is a liar if you are on the opposite side of the aisle...go figure.

I hope Obama does get the public option passed and you clowns start paying over half of your salaries to support all of the dead beats....if you think it will be just the rich paying, just wait and see, everyone who has a pay check regardless of the size will be paying.

Can you image making $7.50 a hour and over 50% of it taken in taxes of some kind.

Thanks for all the great feedback guys - it's great to know I'm not alone.

GR, you really need to learn how to sort the truth from the lies. That little tidbit is a lie. It's not even close to reality. Stop listening to all the liars dude - it makes you look bad.

ghostrider6265 said...

Boh if it is a lie tell me what went wrong in Mass., Tennessee where health care is provided and it is costing a arm and a leg plus they are broke.

I say we take California and do a trial run and you will see how quick it goes broke or how fast you taxes go up.

ghostrider6265 said...

Sounds like Obama's cronies are getting rich off of the health care debate, and you guys were worried about Cheney and Haliburton...

by Michael Boh said...

GR, as long as your comments don't offend or go too far off the rules I'll post them, but they're not really worth debating - you're too apples and oranges dude. Once again, I think you've got bad information, and we disagree.

ghostrider6265 said...

Boh you seem to think this health care is free, I would like to know who will pay for it.

The rich do not have the kind of money it will take over the next 10 years and what class does the largest number of tax payers reside, of course the middle class, if you do not believe your taxes are going to increase at an alarming rate your are more naive than I perceived.

by Michael Boh said...

No GR, I do not think health care reform will be free, but you are ignoring plenty of facts about how health care is already bankrupting this nation. We pay 3-5 times more than any other western nation, and have the WORST health care service. Your side is CRAZY to listen to all the industry LIES! No matter what, if you care about MONEY, we need to REFORM IT! We need to LOWER costs and REFORM the system.

I also believe that you guys are being CHEAP!!! YES, CHEAP!! You were okay with spending BILLIONS/TRILLIONS over the past eight years on DEATH AND WASTE, and now you're unwilling to come up with the money to create a better/fairer health care system for people. Most plans are revenue neutral, but even if they're not, you should be more caring about your fellow Americans.

Yes, despite the fact that the tax hikes will be only for the very wealthy, I WOULD BE WILLING to pay higher taxes for better health care for all Americans. I'm pretty sure the majority would, as long as we have an overall reduction from today's EXTREMELY HIGH HEALTH CARE COSTS. That is the reason why we're doing it.

You guys were wrong about every social improvement policy of the past (which you voted against and now love), and you're WRONG THIS TIME.

When even Rasmussen shows that 57 per cent of Americans want a Public option, I have to think the White House is playing a very cleaver game of rope-a-dope.

I will concede that when they didn't get a bill out before August, Obama and company was caught short with no real plan, just some abstract ideas, to defend.

But as I've pointed out before the people who got the nomination away from Hillary and went on to win a solid majority should never be underestimated.

I think August and the wingnuts have provided us with a once in a lifetime opportunity to finally discredit any remaining credibility that the Republican Party might have.

Even in my neck of the woods (North Carolina) the absurdities of "Death Panels", "keeping the Government out of Medicare", "Protecting the Insurance Companies" and on and on and on...is starting to wear thin even among my Republican friends.

We are going to have serious health care reform. Pre-existing conditions will be a distant memory. Rate hikes, discriminatory pricing against women, lack of a public option and insurance companies that put Wall Street Investment banks to shame will be a distant memory by the 2010 elections.

So keep pushing our friends in DC but cut them a little more slack as well. I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised.

Oh one final thought -GO BARNEY FRANK my new sometime hero after his altercation with a fruitloop.

As always,

Jon, I hope you're right about that.

And, yes, Barney was AWESOME. In a super-duper ass-kicking way awesome. "Madam, having a conversation with you would be like talking to a dining room table." Oh, my heart fluttered and my spirits soared. Barney has found his balls! This line will go down the history with the best of them.

Now if only the rest of Dems could follow Barney's example...

Interesting this link and video goes against your figures Jonguttman on the approval of the public option and it is not from Fox News but NBC.

you said it brother. The situation is getting out of hand and in the mean time citizens are suffering while insurance giants are profiting from it. It is time for people to wake up and realize that many of our country's leaders have sold out, and were bought and paid for even before being elected.
